Create a Scandinavian Bedroom Oasis!

Scandinavian Design can easily be described as a effortless, elegant, neutral, calming and minimalistic aesthetic whilst prioritising optimal functionality and embracing negative spaces. These minimally designed spaces may seem cold and univiting to some however, with layering those finishing touches and decorating your space with beautiful accessories, it truly becomes the ultimate cozy space!

A serene atmosphere can be created with the use of muted such as: blues, soft greens, soft greys, muted pinks, charcoal, milky whites and light timbers which help to capture light within your space. This restful environment is what Scandinavian design is all about, but be sure to bring in pieces that reflect your own style whilst paying homage to these Scandi elements. This can be achieved through your lighting choices, candles and accessories adding those unique pieces that make the space yours!

Scandinavian bedrooms can be styled in a multitude of ways, whether it be your “traditional” Scandi, industrial, vintage or moody…it all depends on the materials and accessories you utilise! Add layers to the space through throw rugs, cushions, more cushions (LOL), coverlets, area rugs and of course…faux fur elements! Draw in on those soft muted tones and honestly…you can’t go wrong!

Not sure where to start? I’ve created a mood board below to show you what a dreamy Scandinavian bedroom could look like, and linked the Interiors By Harper products used below!
